In the morning, flight to Djibouti City, the capital and largest city of Djibouti, located in the coastal region on the Gulf of Tadjoura. Home to around 600,000 inhabitants, the city contains over 60% of the nation's population. The settlement was founded in 1888 by the French on land leased from the ruling Somali and Afar Sultans. During the ensuing period, it served as the capital of French Somaliland and its successor the French Territory of the Afars and Issas. Under its veneer of urban bustle, the city remains a down-to-earth place. After check in to hotel, debut the city tour of Djibouti which includes; the colorful market, the railway station, the main port, the central mosque and walking around the city. Overnight in hotel
After breakfast, depart to Lake Abbe by enjoying the scenery, villages and local nomad shepherds. Lake Abbe is located on the border between Djibouti and Ethiopia. On the way, visit the Little and Grand Bara, which are large fields of white clay, upon which mirages are frequently seen alongside the local gazelles and antelopes. Enjoy a spectacular sunset over the surreal landscape around Lake Abbe formed by the elevation of countless lime stone chimneys. Overnight in Lake Abbe Lodge/Camping
Early in the morning, short hiking through the limestone chimneys around Lake Abbe, you may have a chance to encounter flocks of flamingos. Then, drive to Lake Assal, one of the saltiest lakes on earth and also the lowest point on the African Continent (-153m). Enjoy a fantastic bath in Africa’s “Dead Sea”. Proceed to the coastal town of Tadjoura, aka White City, at the Gulf of Djibouti. Overnight in hotel
After breakfast, explore the old town of Tadjoura, walk through and visit the historic buildings of the town. Then, head to the shore of Sable Blancs, refresh on the pristine “White Beach”. In the afternoon drive back to Djibouti City. Lately, you will have a free time for leisure or shopping. Overnight in hotel
After breakfast, a boat trip to Ras Korali to meet Whale Sharks. Swim and snorkel with these stunning creatures for about 1 hour. Then back to the city. In the evening, transfer to airport and flight back to Addis Ababa. End of the trip.
