Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Asmara: ADD-ASM ET312 0930-1055

Early in the morning transfer to Bole Int’l Airport and flight to Asmara. Up on arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and driver. Then, transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, debut visiting the city of Asmara, aka “Piccola Roma” (Little Rome) and observe its most shining collection of Art Deco (A style of design, marked by stylized forms and geometric designs, which was popular in the 1920s and 1930s) architectural wonders portrayed in many of its buildings such as: The Roman Catholic cathedral, St Mary Coptic church, Al Khulafa al Rashedin, Market, National Museum, Fiat Tagliero building, Tank graveyard and more. Day 2 - Drive to Metsiwa

Journey to the Pearl of Red Sea, Metsiwa. En route, visit the evergreen Filfil, the Green Belt region lies to the northeast of Asmara, covered with lush forests and vegetation and home to an impressive array of birds and mammals. It is the most picturesque loop in Eritrea, with innumerable zigzag bends, jaw-dropping vistas, cool air and sometimes a veil of mist which adds a touch of the bizarre. This route, known as the Pendice Orientali (meaning ‘Eastern Slope’), takes you through some of the most dramatic and diverse landscapes in Eritrea. It makes a great day excursion. Late in the afternoon, relax at the beach of Gurgsum. Overnight in Hotel/Resort

Day 3 - Boat trip to Dahlak Islands (Dissie and Madote Islands)

Exciting boat trip from Massawa to beautiful and pristine Dissie and Madote Islands. Dissie and Madote Islands are part of the Dahlak Archipelago, among the most pleasant and mostly visited and, lying 22 miles and 17 miles South off the coast of Massawa respectively, have beautiful beaches, corals, and birdlife, there is a possibility of seeing groupers, snappers, lionfish, sea turtles, Dolphins, etc. They are good for snorkelling, diving and camping. Campfire and Barbeque dinner. Overnight Camping in Madote Island.

Day 4 - Back to Massawa

In the morning, free time to walk, relax, and swim. Then, a boat trip back to Massawa. Then, visit the port city of Metsiwa. With its exquisite Turkish-style architecture and shopping arcades, beautiful mosques and delicious seafood, Massawa is the perfect destination to cater for all tastes. In addition to the city’s attractions, pristine beaches and enjoyable swimming are available just a short distance from the city centre. Overnight in Hotel

Day 5 - Drive back to Asmara

In the morning, visit the colorful Rashaida tribes the last Semetic people to arrive in Eritrea. The magnificent Rashaida women are known for their black and red geometrically patterned dresses, their long and heavy veil – burga – elaborately embroiled with silver threads, beads and sometimes seed peals. In the afternoon drive back to Asmara to enjoy the spectacular scenery of peaks and valley. Overnight in Hotel

Day 6 - Flight back to Addis: ASM-ADD ET315 1810-1935

On this day, your last stroll in the capital, leisure and shopping time. Farewell lunch on one of the best restaurants in Asmara. According to your flight schedule, transfer to Asmara airport and flight back home to Addis Ababa, end of the trip.
