9 Days Leisure Tour to Ethiopian Great Rift Valley

In the early morning, meet up at convenient point in Addis Ababa and depart to Wanchi Crater Lake via the town of Ambo town (144 km asphalt road), situated in the western side of the capital. Up on arrival at Wanchi, begin your hiking or horseback riding on the hillside of the crater through the natural forest with a beautiful scenery. Inside the forest, you will observe different tree species, alpine vegetation, aquatic and terrestrial bird species, and mammals. Then, descend down to the natural hot-spring. Soak in the natural mud-pool and take bath in hot-spring for a relaxation and rejuvenation. Picnic lunch (goat steak bites, rice with cooked vegetable, and fruits) will be served at the green fields near to the hot-spring. Afternoon, continue hiking or horseback riding to the villages through the beautiful grassland water streams. You will have a short break to visit one of households in on of the villages to observe their daily lifestyle. Continue hiking to the shore of the lake and take in views of the lake shore from a peaceful dock. Then, our boat will pick you up to cross the lake. On the way, if time allows, stop over at the island of the lake and visit the monastery of Cherkos. Then meet our vehicle and drive back to Addis Ababa.

In the morning, flight to Arbaminch (ET171: ADD-AMH7:40 am – 8:45 am). Up on your arrival, you will have a boat trip toa boat trip on Lake Chamo and visit to huge crocodiles, hippos and a variety of birdlife. Crossing the lake by boat to the nearby Nech Sar National Park and hiking through the park to observe natural habitat and wild animals such as; Zebras, Gazelles, Antelopes and plenty of bird species. After the visit, drive to our hotel in Arbaminch. Check in to our hotel. Lunch break and short free resting time. In the late afternoon, drive to Chencha and visit Dorze village (famous for their bee hive shaped houses, weaving styles and their lifestyle). In the afternoon, Overnight in hotel/lodge

Drive to Hawassa (380). On the way, de tour to Senkelle Wildlife Sanctuary, well-known for endemic and endangered subspecies of Swayne’s Hartebeest). Then, proceed to Awassa. Late afternoon, walk along the lake shore for nice evening sunset and aquatic birds. Overnight in a hotel/resort

After breakfast, visit the Fish Market and Amora Gedel of lake Hawassa with plenty of aquatic bird species. Then drive to Langano. After check in, game drive and hiking inside Abyata - Shala National Park, famous with its hot springs, wildlife & and bird species. Overnight in Lodge

After breakfast, drive to Lepis Eco Village, has been awarded as best tourism village of UNWTO for 2023. Explore and hike through the lush forest with breathtaking view of the magnificent waterfall, and experience the horseback riding in the village. After visit, drve back to Langano. Overnight in Resort.

Morning leisure time at Langano; relax, swim, walk along the shore Lake Langano.  Then, drive to Ziway. In the late afternoon, short boat trip to the nearest Iceland on Lake of Ziway with its diverse species of aquatic birds like greet pelican, Marabou stork, hammer cop, different kind of goose and more. Overnight in Hotel

After breakfast, visit the Vineyard of Castel Winery, the first privately owned winery in the country. Explore the vineyard, wine making process, and attend wine testing. Lunch break. In the afternoon, drive to the resort town of Bishoftu (aka Debre Zeit). In the afternoon, you will have leisure time, wellness and spa. Overnight at the Resort.

Late in the morning, drive back to Addis Ababa. Lunch break. In the afternoon, you will have a shopping / free leisure time.
